"Ian Fraiser Kilmister dit Lemmy Kilmister est un bassiste et chanteur de heavy metal."
Lada and I were discussing various rockers this afternoon and got into a debate about Lemmy's age. Lada ran to fr.wikipedia.org to check (turns out he's 62) and then I heard her cracking up, and she yelled to me that there was something I had to see. She insisted that I post this on my LiveJournal, which she complains has become totally boring:

Selon Lemmy, un jour où il se baladait dans les rues de Los Angeles, il croisa une femme qui était en train de se faire enlever dans une camionnette sous la menace d'un pistolet. Lemmy accourut, désarma l'homme à l'intérieur et lui dit juste "fuck off!".
That is to say...

According to Lemmy, one day while strolling the streets of Los Angeles, he happened upon a woman who was in the process of being forced into a van at gunpoint. Lemmy ran, disarmed the man inside, and simply said "Fuck off!"
Action like that will turn any blog into a heart-pounding thriller. Lada and I are both absolutely enchanted by the fact that Lemmy simply said "Fuck off!" Anyway, wow, imagine being saved by Lemmy! Talk about out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Whether or not Lada's right, you know what would make this entry more manningkrull? An embedded YouTube video.

Question to you and anyone else who feels like answering: Do you like the videos? Are the videos tiresome? Me, I like to try to include an image or video or interesting link whenever possible for any post. Some people respond and say they dig it, but I imagine if some people don't dig it they're probably keeping mum. Which is neither here nor there, but they should really let her go.

The photos/links/videos thing does make your livejournal more of a "blog" and less of a "journal" (at least in the old sense of blogs being a place for people to talk about current events/stuff on the web/etc.). Personally, I prefer photos to videos. I love pictures! Feed your vanity! A picture in every posts, sez I! As for videos, I watch probably 30-40% of the videos you post. I generally only watch the music videos if it's a band I'm mildly interested in, or if there's something extremely specific you're calling attention to. But I really don't care one way or another -- I still read every post, you know?

I swear I wasn't trying to be a dick.

Hey, no, no sweat, I didn't think you were being a dick! Just curious is all, about everybody who reads this thing. Lada is probably the only friend I have who's honest/rude enough to complain to me about my LiveJournal, in real life and when we're not even talking about LiveJournal no less! Anyway, I certainly don't mind one bit if people don't watch the videos, but I do care (a little bit) if it somehow bothers them that there are videos on my blog.

Your LiveJournal needs more of you talking about hair care products.

If Lemmy ever confronted me, and I had a gun, I would be afraid to shoot him. It'd just enrage him, like a bear.

You know that scene in Unforgiven when English Bob talks about how you can't assassinate a king? I bet that applies to Lemmy too. Hold on, let me find the quote... "If you were to try to assassinate a king, sir, the... how shall I say it? The aura of royalty would cause you to miss."

Lemmy has an autobiography that reads exactly like he talks (that is to say, drunkenly and mumbly). But it's full of ridiculous stories like that.
